To work in an insurance agency is interesting.Until I begin doing this job,I know how hard every kind of work is.I am working here since this January.The first two months,I worked as volunteer.I only went there one hour per day.There were not so many things to let me do.I thought it was an easy work.Every day the only work is to receive phone calls and submit the information of insured.The quote will process by the system.That is not hard.But two months later,I knew I was so easy to make a conclusion.When the insurance agency moved to a new office,the work was more and more to me.From March,I worked four hours per day,and the president decided to pay for me the minimum salary.
Insurance agency does not only sell the policies to insured for insurance company,it also handles other work,such like certificate.The certificate of insurance is for the insured to prove they have an insurance policy; most time is mortgagee or loss payee.Like when insured buy a new car,before they drive home,they must show the auto insurance policy to the seller and the bank,and then they are allowed to pick up the car.I like to do the certificate for insured.Every time,I feel happy.This is a necessary document which works by me.Evidence of insurance is almost the same function of certificate,but it is a proof for home policies.
I like quoting the prices best.My major is mathematics,I love working with numbers.Recently,I just know how to quote personal insurances,auto and home.These are not only two types of insurances,for example,the home insurance includes Homeowner,Dwelling Fire,Renter,and Condo policies.Also based on these,there are still detailed policies.Input the insured name,address,deductable,and coverage,the systems will output the prices of the policy.I always get quotes from several insurance companies.The prices are varies based on the coverage and clue report.If there is loss run report,claim,or other bad records,the price will be much higher.I am glad to get the lowest price for insured.Although I am not directly telling the information to insured,I am still happy.
These days,I learnt a lot from my coworker.Not only the skill of this job,but also the experience of getting alone with people.I see the human nature on both sides of the conflict from this job.President needs good employees who have enough knowledge,work hard,and find or create business opportunities.Employer wants employees cooperation with each other to do good work,but does not like the relationship between employees is too good to go play after work,especially they do not invite boss to participate in.Employees complain that the boss to their demand is too much,work content too large,and pressure is too high.
Between employer and employee,they need more communication.I know it is hard to believe the other people,but we should try.
